Taconic Veterinary Center is equipped with the

latest diagnostic and therapeutic technology

so we can provide a higher standard of care to your pet. Our tools allow us to perform comprehensive and detailed evaluations of our patients, communicate quickly with outside specialists, and deliver unique therapies to help pets heal and recover from various conditions.

Pet Ultrasound

Ultrasound is a form of imaging that uses soundwave echoes to create moving images of the internal organs. We typically use ultrasound to view the abdominal organs and heart, but we can also use it to detect tumors, fluid in the body, and pregnancies.

RADIOLOGY

Our hospital utilizes digital X-ray technology to view your pet’s bones, joints, heart, lungs, and other organs in high contrast. Additionally, we can use X-ray to detect foreign bodies, tumors, heart and lung disorders, bone fractures and deformities, and more.

Artemis Laser Therapy

Taconic Veterinary Center is proud to offer Noninvasive Regenerative Therapy™, or NRT™ with our Artemis Laser. NRT™ gives our team the ability to regenerate and even remodel scarred tissue back to a normal, healthy state, with no pain or minimal side effects. Because scar tissue can hinder the healing process, NRT™ can play a vital role in helping your pet heal successfully from their injury.

Endoscopy & Rhinoscopy

Endoscopy allows us to examine the ears, airways, and GI tract, without performing invasive surgery. Rhinoscopy, a subset of endoscopy, allows us to examine the nasal passages.

Computed Tomography (CT Scan)

We use the Vimego HD CT scanner to produce detailed, high-resolution images of your pet. This technology is useful in diagnosing dental disease, nasal and oropharyngeal abnormalities, as well as orthopedic problems. This machine has been used to diagnose brain tumors, as well as lung pathology.

Fluoroscopy

Fluoroscopy involves the use of X-rays to create moving images of parts of the body in real time. It is often used in orthopedic cases, such as providing joint injections and pinning bone fractures. We can also use fluoroscopy for nerve blocks and diagnosing a collapsed trachea or esophageal motility disorders.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, or HBOT, delivers 100% oxygen to your pet in a pressurized chamber. The purpose of this treatment is to more efficiently send oxygen into deep tissue cells to stimulate the body’s natural healing cascade. This helps to increase blood circulation to areas affected by traumatic injury or surgery. Benefits of HBOT include decreased inflammation and swelling, decreased pressure and edema associated with brain and spinal cord injuries, improved infection control, and the multiplication and recruitment of stem cells to damaged tissues.
