Very safe and painless, ultrasound imaging provides information that traditional radiographs and other imaging modalities can not. Ultrasound guided aspirates and biopsies are important non-invasive diagnostic tools.

WHAT IS DIGITAL RADIOLOGY?
Our digital X-ray unit allows us to obtain images within seconds, so we can make decision about your pet’s care quickly. All our images are submitted to be evaluated by board certified radiologists. This service assures correct diagnoses within a few short hours.
Most of our images can be obtained without any sedation or anesthesia. When necessary, your veterinarian will communicate with you when an anesthetic plan is needed for your pet.
Radiographs helps our veterinarians make more precise diagnoses. This in turn can help us and you make timely decisions regarding your pets’ care.

WHAT IS NRT™?
When cells are affected by significant acute or chronic inflammation the cell cycle stops. Healing either does not occur at all, or occurs only though placement of fibrotic scar tissue. Scar tissue has previously been a limiting factor in healing tendon and ligament injuries. HOW DOES NRT™ WORK?

As the new cells are created, using NRT™, they express factors that influence the cells around them to “turn on.” In other words, they simply tell all their neighboring cells to “turn on” and “get to work.” The result is a healing cascade that allows regeneration of tissue in a way that was previously thought to be impossible. Tendons, ligaments, muscle, bone and many other tissue types can be regenerated non-invasively. Endoscopy & Rhinoscopy
Endoscopy for Pets
Endoscopy is an important diagnostic service that helps identify and treat health problems in pets. Endoscopic exams are minimally invasive procedures and present a safe alternative to traditional forms of surgery. These exams are typically used to diagnose problems that affect a pet’s throat, stomach, colon, intestines or respiratory system.
An endoscope is a long, flexible tube with a camera on its tip, and contained within the tube there is a thin channel that allows a variety of instruments to securely pass through the tube. This camera acts as a guide, so that a vet can safely navigate through your pet’s interiors to determine the cause of disease that affects a pet.
To perform an endoscopy, your pet will need to be placed under general anesthesia, which means that the exam is pain-free.
Rhinoscopy for Pets
Rhinoscopy is similar to endoscopy, but for a pet’s nasal passages. Our veterinarians may recommend rhinoscopy for issues including foreign objects in the nasal passages, chronic nasal discharge, uncontrolled sneezing, checking for nasal tumors, nasal bleeding and other related conditions.
For a rhinoscopy, your pet will have to be put under general anesthesia. Then, a rhinoscope (which is an endoscope, but specifically used for the nasal passages) will be gently inserted into each nasal passage, so that a camera can provide magnified views. Following a procedure, it’s common that pets will bleed from their nostrils, however this will improve over the course of several days.

Computer-Assisted Tomography (Cat Scan)
WHAT IS COMPUTER-ASSISTED TOMOGRAPHY?
Vimago HD CT is a high definition CT Scanner that allows us to take very detailed, extremely high resolution images of your pet.
CT is used in veterinary medicine to diagnose several conditions that are not visible through other modalities such as ultrasound and MRI. Several conditions diagnosed through CT are fragmented medial coronoid process (FMCP) and osteochondritis dissecans (OCD), which are common conditions of juvenile, medium to large-breed dogs. Other conditions include complex/articular fractures, patella luxation, spinal lesions, metastatic diseases and neoplasms, middle-ear disease and nasal cavity disease.
WHY WE USE VIMAGO HD CT
Vimago HD CT is the most advanced CT scanner available for use in veterinary medicine. Vimago was designed specifically for veterinary medicine, with image resolution that is 1481 times higher than standard CT. Vimago HD CT allows us to see and diagnose things that would likely be missed by other CT scanners.
In addition to superior image quality, our Vimago system also has onboard digital x-ray and fluoroscopy, which gives us additional imaging options. Most importantly, Vimago uses 60-90% less radiation than standard CT, making it vastly safer for your pet and our staff. This also allows us to be with your pet during the entire study, making it a more comfortable experience for your pet.
Fluoroscopy
What is fluoroscopy?
Our Vimigo Computed Tomography unit also produces fluoroscopic imagery to help diagnose and treat our patients. Fluoroscopy uses x-rays to provide real-time moving images. This minimally invasive modality is most often used by orthopedic surgeons to pin fractures without having to create large incisions and traumatize overlying muscles. Fluoroscopy also aids in performing joint injections and nerve blocks and helps to diagnose esophageal motility disorders and collapsing tracheas.
